Private Psychiatry provides a comprehensive service for adults with a wide variety of emotional and mental health problems.

We welcome new patients to the practice, and are always happy to accept referrals directly from patients or their family members, or from GPs and other healthcare professionals. We also accept referrals from the NHS, providing the patient has private funding.

Patients can fund appointments themselves or use private medical insurance. We are recognised by most major medical insurance providers who usually require a GP referral letter. Referral letters are not required for self-funding patients.

Please take some time to read about some of the mental health conditions we treat and to review the testimonials from some of our patients.

If you have never been treated by a psychiatrist before, or even you have, our What to Expect page explains more about the course your treatment with Private Psychiatry may take. Our detailed Patient Guide will also tell you more.

Although there are some areas of similarity, there are also clear differences between a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a therapist, which can be confusing. If you are unsure which mental health professional is right for you, our explanation will help you decide.
