Patient Safety & Satisfaction

Patient safety and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us at Private Psychiatry. Clinical Governance – the way in which we ensure that our services are of the highest standard – is central to what we do. The consultants, partners and key non-clinical staff at Private Psychiatry meet on a regular basis to discuss how the practice is run by reviewing patient feedback and practice performance indicators, and by discussing new and efficient ways of running the practice and ensuring it meets the needs of patients.

All our consultants undergo regular training to ensure they are up to date with the most recent developments in the field of psychiatry and all undergo an annual independent appraisal by another appointed medical professional.

All our consultants are on the GMC’s Special Register and are either Members or Fellows of the Royal College of Psychiatry. The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission (no: 1-158769564), and for data protection with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Private Psychiatry was last inspected by the Care Quality Commission and rated as ‘Good’ in November 2019. A copy of the full inspection report can be accessed via the link below.

We undertake patient satisfaction surveys regularly. We are delighted to say that in our last survey undertaken in November 2020,  92% of our patients have rated our services as either ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’. Read for yourself some of the comments our patients have made.
