Existing Patients of Private Psychiatry Only
We understand that during these unprecedented times — now more than ever — your mental health is important. You may also not be able to or wish to leave the house to travel to a face-to-face appointment with one of our consultant psychiatrists. For these reasons, and in order to ensure the safety of our patients and our consultants, all appointments with our psychiatrists are being provided remotely.
Both Dr Winbow and Prof Hale are offering online psychiatric assessments and telephone appointments for all their patients. We hope that this will give more flexibility and support for patients, particularly during this period of uncertainty and restrictions until we are able to resume face to face consultations. We have been providing appointments in this way since March 2020 and it has been well-received by patients seeking diagnosis, treatment and support during the pandemic.
Consultations take place either over Zoom, Skype or Facetime. Just let us know when making your appointment, which you would prefer and we will set up the details for you to speak with one of our consultant psychiatrists online. Further details of how it works can be found here.
It is important for an initial consultation to take place online/video and to be for one hour, so that our consultant can get to know you (and you get to know him) that bit better and for him to be able provide a more accurate diagnosis and the appropriate ongoing support for you. After that, consultations can take place over the telephone or continue online as you wish and may be of a shorter length, as appropriate.
