Patient safety and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us at Private Psychiatry. Clinical Governance – the way in which we ensure that our services are of the highest standard – is central to what we do. The consultants, partners and key non-clinical staff at Private Psychiatry meet on a regular basis to discuss how the practice is run by reviewing patient feedback and practice performance indicators, and by discussing new and efficient ways of running the practice and ensuring it meets the needs of patients.

All our consultants undergo regular training to ensure they are up to date with the most recent developments in the field of psychiatry and all undergo an annual independent appraisal by another appointed medical professional.

All our consultants are on the GMC’s Special Register and are either Members or Fellows of the Royal College of Psychiatry. The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission (no: 1-158769564), and for data protection with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We undertake a patient satisfaction survey twice a year. We are delighted to say that 100% of our patients have rated our services as either ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’. Read for yourself some of the comments our patients have made.

We welcome feedback from our patients. If you have any comments on our services – positive or negative, then please let us know. Our comments form and details of our complaints procedure is available to download below.

Patient Testimonials

I am relieved to have found Private Psychiatry. I only wish I had come to you sooner.
I could not recommend Dr Winbow and his delightful secretarial team more highly. Thank you so much for looking after me.
I've been seeing Dr Winbow for over a year and it was the best thing I ever did. With thanks to my parents and my doctor, I finally understand my illness and my medication has stabilised me. I really recommend him.
